About TopUpDesk
TopUpDesk is a remote airtime refill utility. We allow our clients to refill their mobile airtime from virtually anywhere. Accepting airtime requests via our web and SMS platforms, we service a pool of credible clients.
We started this project because we wanted to find a dynamic solution for airtime refill that didn’t involve gluing a call box operator to one spot for the entire day. Our question was: What if there was a system that allowed a call box operator to go about their daily activities while simultaneously serving clients and only dedicating a day or two for collection of dues?
The idea is simple enough but we have to run a pilot to see if our theory works practically. After ActivSpaces’ inaugural #subCMR event on February 18th -19th to build our web platform, we finally launched our service on February 29th. We took a leap of faith into the leap year ;)
